MLXA Welcomes new Coaching Director

Please join us in welcoming the new MLXA Coaching Director, Meghan Datema!

Meghan is a Rockford native who was a member of the DII Grand Valley State Women's lacrosse team.  As a Laker, she received All-GLIAC first and second-team (2016, 2017 & 2018). She holds the GVSU record for all-time draw controls and second all-time leading scorer for the women's lacrosse program. Meghan was selected as the 2018 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-American, 2017-2018 DII Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2018 Commissioner's Award as a student-athlete. In 2019, Meghan continued to stay involved in the lacrosse community through assistant coaching for the state champion Rockford girl's varsity lacrosse team. She also is an active lacrosse official at the youth level. Meghan completed her degrees in French, Spanish, and secondary education while at GVSU. She currently teaches Spanish at East Kentwood.

Meghan is a teacher at heart and passionate about seeing the growth and development of young athletes. She is excited to give back to the sport and community that has done so much for her.

Meghan will be overseeing all coaching efforts for all teams and camps. She will be the lead coach for the high school and middle school teams and help Eric with the 2022 team when needed.

We are thrilled for Meghan to join the MLXA team!
