MVA Private Lessons

Aquinas College Head Coach (2019-Current). Cornerstone University Head Coach (2009-2019). Can train all skills and offer try-out & college recruiting guidance. Semi-private and group sessions available. Email for details. HOURLY RATE: starting at $40.

Coach Madi has 9 years of high-level playing experience and over 6 years of coaching athletes of all ages and skill levels. She is the current Youth Coordinator at MVA, current Rise Academy coach, and is passionate about working with players at every stage of development. Coach Aaron Smaka is the Head Volleyball Coach at Grand Haven High School (17 years) and has also coached for 6 years for Rise Academy & MVA in Grand Rapids & on the Lakeshore. In club, he has coached all levels from Regional 12U to 18U National Teams. Coach Smaka is available for private lessons at MSA Lakeshore and MSA SportHouse. Email Coach Smaka to sign up!

Jessica is one of our volleyball directors here at MVA. She currently coaches for Rise Academy and lead coaches our MVA 13s. She has been coaching for about 10 years now and played volleyball at Oakland University and professional volleyball overseas in Spain for a year. Coaches all age groups and can help with all skill levels. $100/hr - Please email me to set up times that work.

Assisted at Aquinas College three years with the Women’s and Men’s teams, assisted one year at GVSU with the Women’s team, Varsity coach at East Grand Rapids for three years, and 6th season at MVA. Rate starts at $70/Hour.

Emily Young has coached with Michigan Volleyball Rise Academy since 2022. She currently coaches Rise 71s. She is a former Varsity volleyball head coach. Emily played DII volleyball at Cedarville University as a libero. She is confident with all ages, to help develop skill, leadership and confidence in athletes. $70/hour Please email to schedule
